UNDERFLOOR HEATING SOLUTIONS

Walking on Wood supply, fit and guarantee hardwood floors with under-floor heating systems. We cooperate with Jupiter Heating Systems Ltd on water-based under-floor heating systems and with Heat Mat for electrical systems.

When the under-floor heating is installed by others, we find a wooden floor solution suitable for your requirements.

JUPITER WATERBASED UNDER-FLOOR HEATING

The Jupiter IDEAL under-floor heating System, is a "dry installed" panel based system consisting of 30mm thick polystyrene elements with integral aluminium heat diffusion plates on each element's surface.

The IDEAL ECO under-floor heating System has the same properties as above but with 30mm thick wood fibre elements. The high density of the wood fibre panels gives the Jupiter IDEAL ECO system unique sound insulation properties that make it ideal for installation on party floors. This makes the Jupiter IDEAL ECO system the only under-floor heating solution which contributes to the requirements outlined in Part E, Building Regulations 2003.

Water is heated by a boiler or other heat source and pumped to the Jupiter manifolds located on each floor. The manifolds distribute the water around the heating circuits in the various rooms which then returns to the heat source for re-heating. The heat from the warm water is transferred through the pipe and aluminium plates to the floor surface above. The aluminium plates ensure an even floor temperature. Once a room temperature has been achieved the thermostat sends a signal to a valve on the manifold which is then closed. Under-floor heating requires a far lower water temperature than radiators so typically the running costs are less.

HEAT-MAT ELECTRICAL UNDERFLOOR HEATING

Heat Mat Wooden Floor Heating is a unique product that can be fitted under our engineered wooden floors without the need for levelling compounds. It has a very low build height of between 5- 8mm depending on the application. This system is very effective due to the large heating surface of the ribbons. The mats are available in a range of panel sizes. The cable is twin-conductor, insulated with Teflon, and both the earthing shield and cable are reinforced with Kevlar.

Heat Mat floor heating mats are particularly well-suited for installation in projects where a low build height and rapid heating reaction time are required.
